EVENT TARGET AUDIENCE : All community leaders, members and volunteers

EVENT OBJECTIVE: The objective of the upcoming APAC Reconnect: Community Days 2023 is to bring together the different Microsoft communities from M365, Azure, and BizApps countries (Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia & Vietnam) within the APAC region. The event aims to provide a platform for each community to showcase their purpose, goals, leaders, team members, plans for the current and upcoming years, highlights, and support needed. It also aims to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and relationship building among community members.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Reconnect: APAC Community Days 2023, a gathering of the different active Microsoft communities from Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Business Applications countries (Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia & Vietnam) within the APAC region. This event is an opportunity for each community to have a representative who will introduce their community's purpose, goals, leaders, team members, plans for this year and next year, highlights, and support needed.

We will also have Microsoft Community Program Managers who will share their plans and how they can support the different communities in our region. This event is a great way to reconnect and build relationships with other community members, share knowledge and experience, and discover new opportunities for collaboration.

We believe that by connecting and sharing knowledge, we can all help each other grow and achieve our community goals.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:

1. Increased awareness and understanding: Each community representative/leader will have the opportunity to introduce their community, its purpose, and goals, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse Microsoft communities within the APAC region.
2. Enhanced collaboration: By connecting community members/leaders from different domains and countries, the event will foster collaboration opportunities. Participants can discover shared interests, complementary goals, and potential areas for collaboration, leading to the formation of new partnerships and joint initiatives.
3. Knowledge sharing and learning: Community members/leaders will have a platform to share their knowledge, experiences, and best practices. This exchange of ideas will enable participants to learn from each other, gain new insights, and broaden their understanding of Microsoft technologies and applications.
4. Relationship building: The event will provide an opportunity for community members/leaders to network, establish new relationships, and strengthen existing connections. Building personal and professional relationships within the community will foster a supportive and collaborative environment beyond the event itself.
5. Support and guidance: Microsoft Community Program Managers will share their plans and strategies for supporting the different communities in the APAC region. Community members/leaders will have the chance to learn about available resources, tools, and programs that can assist them in achieving their goals and driving community engagement.
6. Increased community growth and impact: Through the event, communities can identify potential areas of improvement, collaborate on initiatives, and seek support to overcome challenges. By sharing their plans and needs, communities can receive guidance and assistance, ultimately leading to their growth, increased impact, and a stronger presence within the APAC region.
