Did you know that with your Microsoft 365 enterprise license, you get a complete Information Security Management System or ISMS? Yes, you do and it's known as Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager.

But the Compliance Manager goes beyond this. As an ISMS you are able to use the Compliance Manager to track your compliance enhancements in your Microsoft 365 environment. This allows you to report on your progress, to external auditors (for example).

The Compliance Manager also offers you insight into standards and regulations, using pre-built assessments. Examples include the GDPR and ISO27001. But the list of assessment templates is huge and (depending on your licensing) you can use them all. Or you can add your own assessment template, to be used in your environment.

The assessment templates and assessments offer you insights into improvement actions, and also the steps Microsoft took to comply. A compliance score shows you directly what to expect from your environment.

In this session, Albert will do a run-through of the Compliance manager. We will look at the built-in assessment templates, create an assessment, and the compliance score. We will also be looking into the creation of your own assessment templates.

Uncovering a hidden gem: Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager

Nowadays we use Chat GPT for almost everything, even in our professional life and that's why we have witnessed how Microsoft has invested a lot in AI, which has brought us a lot of features with Copilot.

However one of these new features that Microsoft has given us in 2023 is a hidden gem. This functionality is called Power Platform as Connected Service, which is the possibility to create Custom Connectors from Visual Studio to be able to use it in Power Platform.

In this session, we'll explore how Power Platform as a connected service can empower you to package your own APIs into custom connectors and deploy them seamlessly to the Power Platform. Getting started with Azure AI Studio

How hard can it be to get third party apps in Intune, is what I thought when I was playing around with the Intune Company Portal. The answer is HARD, and in this session I'll take you with me on this journey.

What does it take to get apps in the Intune Company Portal? I started this journey with a blank slate, never had I worked with Intune before. I'm just a curious developer.

- Where do you get the installers?
- Detecting installations and uninstalling?
- Packaging apps to .intunewin files, how does that work?
- Uploading apps through the portal or even Graph API?

I took all this research and created an open-source app that allows you, and anybody else to package and publish apps to Intune in matter of seconds.

Why content management maturity matters for getting the most out of Microsoft 365 Copilot

Join us for a candid look behind the scenes at run.events, the platform that has become essential for many event organizers worldwide who want to manage their events efficiently.

Taking the road less traveled, without relying on outside funding and with a dedicated, compact team, was what formed run.events into its current state. Our reliance on the robust Microsoft Azure public cloud platform (we'll share why we eliminated the last two AWS services from our architecture only a few weeks ago), a focus on user experience, and the integration of automation workflows have been the foundation of what run.events is today, enabling us to serve a global audience.

In this session, we'll share the architectural, developmental, technological, and emotional challenges encountered while building the platform. We'll discuss the good and not-so-good decisions. We will discuss how our first European Collaboration Summit taught us that standard Azure load testing isn't always sufficient, leading us to scale our Azure SQL Server to the max to get through the event (which we did!). We'll also talk about why you should be in Microsoft for Startups program during the initial development and early go-to-market stages of building a SaaS product, and how being in that program has saved our money and our skin. :)

To wrap up, we'll provide some insights into where we are now, the challenges we're currently facing and how we're addressing them, our ideas for the future, and how Microsoft taught us that a bug in production is not the end of the world. :)
