Welcome to the new and very powerful Microsoft Lists!  In this session we will do a deep dive into all the features and functionality along with how to create, share & track lists with anyone.  In the demonstration we will show you how to customize lists to meet the requirements of any project using basic form elements and highlight important details with conditional formatting such as color coding, and how to create a list and import data from an excel spreadsheet automatically.  Talk about taking it to the next level…WOW.  However, we will be taking it up an extra level  by demonstrating how to incorporate automation utilizing Power Platform along with creating and utilizing templates.

Machine translation has improved by leaps and bounds in recent years.  There are several new Azure translation APIs aimed at better translation quality and one in private preview.  One of them is particularly well suited for the government of Canada. Despite the improvements, there are still translation errors, and the talk will explain where they come from and how they can be prevented or corrected.

SharePoint Syntex is the first project released out of Project Cortex and is a significant step forward in providing the ability to intelligently identify content across your Microsoft 365 environment. Unstructured content is being produced at an exponential rate in our modern workplaces today and we need a way to manage it at scale by providing structure (content types and metadata) and governance (security and compliance controls) to it.  

To demonstrate this new capability, Joanne Klein will walkthrough a practical example of using a SharePoint Syntex AI document understanding model to intelligently identify Statements of Work across SharePoint libraries. The walkthrough will cover setup, training, and deployment.

SharePoint Syntex: An AI Model Walk-thru

While “lift-and-shift” is a familiar and straightforward approach to migrating data from shared drives and SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online, that approach does not provide the most value in the long term and introduces increasing financial, operational, and legal risks. A better approach is to leverage intelligent data migration using THEMIS ICE – a migration product that has built-in data classification and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to dynamically route content to locations based on data types, policies, and/or sensitivity status. This presentation will show how to use THEMIS ICE to discover data including "dark content", how to extract information, how to assess it, and how to eliminate the ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, or Trivial). The cleansed data can then be classified and enriched using AI and   intelligently migrated to SharePoint Online. THEMIS ICE analyzes the content and provides insights by leveraging SharePoint Syntex AI models to enable Intelligent Data Migration with sustainable Data Lifecycle Management and Governance.
