This level of integration makes progress tracking and updates automatic, keeping everyone on track with an always up-to-date view on the key results that use live data, as well as team and organization dashboards that are rich with insights.

Develop purpose-driven work culture using Microsoft Viva Goals and Power BI

This session is designed with the beginner in mind. The target audience is someone who has heard of Power Platform and wants to know how to get started using the tools. They are the people who have a business challenge to solve but may not have a background as a developer or coder. 
The session begins with an overview of Power Apps and then some basic navigation starting with the Power Apps home page. This section is like language bridging to make sure that the audience and I share a mutual understanding of key terms. In the main part of the session, I will build a sample application that uses SharePoint lists as the data source. The demonstration starts in the SharePoint list so that I can demonstrate how a user can quickly create a basic 3-page app using the integrate feature. 
While customizing the app, I will discuss how to navigate the Power Apps studio and find some common features. The app that is built in the session is the way I engage the audience in learning how to navigate the Power Apps studio. I will discuss how to use the tree view, change properties, change the basic app, add another page, and link that page to the existing app. 
At the end of the session, I will demonstrate how to publish and share the Power App with the people in their organization. The goal of this session is to take some basic data and show the users how they can use low-code options to create business solutions.

In this session, I will present and explain the advantages of using Power Platform Pipelines. During this session, we will set up the necessary environments, create a pipeline which promotes solutions from development, through test, and finally into production. In this session, I will deploy a solution through the stages and go over the Deployment Pipeline Configuration app and features such as run history, deployment stages, etc. 

Application Lifecycle Management with Pipelines

With remote work being the norm, organizations are finding onboarding new employees extremely challenging. In this session, we will cover how organizations can excel in employee onboarding using Power Virtual Agents and navigate the challenges organizations face onboarding new and remote employees.

Power Virtual Agents a SaaS offering from Microsoft and part of the Power Platform empowers teams to easily create powerful virtual agents using a guided, no-code graphical interface without the need for data scientists or developers. The new authoring experience of Power Virtual agents compliments the no-code authoring canvas with the pro-code capabilities of the bot framework composer.

How organizations can excel in Employee Onboarding using new authoring experience of PVA?

This session was designed for a beginner, with little to no developer background. They are the people in the office who need to solve a business challenge but may not have a great deal of background with coding or creating solutions using Power Platform tools. 
I take the audience through a guided tour of the Power Automate home page to help the beginner know where they can find templates, flows, connectors, etc. I view this as language bridging to make sure the audience and I have a shared understanding of terms before jumping into a live demonstration of how to create two basic flows.  The first flow is a template that sends Outlook attachments to OneDrive for Business. The second demonstrates how to send a message to Teams when an item is selected on a SharePoint list. 
The flows are a means to describe some of the basic Power Automate concepts. Additionally, the flows chosen will illustrate how a simple template or flow with just a few steps can still lead to time savings and efficiency. This helps the user build confidence and realize that they too can achieve benefits when using the Power Platform tools, even as a beginner. 
Along the way I point out real life examples of things to look for and common errors to avoid. For example, many organizations require their employees to use connectors tied to business accounts, but someone can mistakenly select a connector that is tied to a personal account. 
The session is wrapped up by going over a common error. Approval flows are the most common flow, but many beginners do not realize that some fields are case sensitive. The flow can be technically correct for how the trigger and actions work. However, it does not work as intended. I have an intentionally broken flow that I show the users how to troubleshoot and demonstrate how the case sensitivity impacted the outcome of the flow.  


Power Automate for Beginners

The ultimate dream of any organization is to leverage bespoke software solutions that are purpose built to solve specific challenges.  In the past, these modular services could be built out piece-meal and added as reusable components but often required additional funding and lengthy development cycles to add to existing solutions.  In this session, attendees will learn how to future-proof their organization using the Power Platform by leveraging the inherent built-in modularity of the platform itself to buy once and build forever. 

The Power Platform is a collection of low-code tools that empowers users to create custom applications, automate workflows, and analyze data. By leveraging this platform, organizations can expand their software footprint without making a significant investment in infrastructure or development resources.

This session will cover how modularity can be achieved through the Power Platform and its associated services, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI along with low code AI services like AI Builder. Attendees will learn how to create reusable components that can be easily shared and integrated into different applications, allowing organizations to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements. We will also discuss how the Power Platform can integrate with existing systems and technologies, making it a flexible and cost-effective solution for organizations of all sizes. 


Modularity as a Service - Future Proofing your Organization using the Power Platform
