Community Days | Microsoft 365 Summer Soiree in Vancouver

After a not so brief hiatus, the Vancouver Office 365 user group will kick things off with an in-person event with something exciting for everyone working in the Microsoft 365 space! Hope to see you there and have the opportunity to say hi and connect.

1️⃣ "Latest updates on Copilot, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tech in Microsoft 365"
Visiting from Microsoft Corp in Redmond, WA, Mark Kashman, Senior Product Manager for the SharePoint organization and host of The Intrazone podcast will headline our event, and in his unique style will share the latest updates on Copilot, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related technologies in Microsoft 365.

Following this session, we will have two speakers rounding up the event with the following talks:

2️⃣ "Microsoft Syntex update – Content AI for the Microsoft Cloud" presented by Karl Harriau, Senior product manager - Microsoft.
Every week, customers add billions of documents to Microsoft 365. That content carries knowledge, decisions, and transactions that are vital to the flow of work. To maximize the value of your Microsoft 365 content, Microsoft Syntex brings management, advanced AI, and automation together to simplify the way you work. Join us for the latest on this new category and hear how Syntex can help you discover, manage, and secure your organization's content in the Microsoft Cloud and beyond.

3️⃣ "Navigating the Complexities of Microsoft Purview Records Management: Real-World Lessons and Questions from Helping Clients" presented by Lian Furling - Gravity Union.

As organizations grapple with the challenges of managing and retrieving an ever-increasing amount of information, it is vital that records management solutions align with modern work practices. Microsoft Purview’s Records Management solution is a powerful instrument to help organizations manage and govern electronic information, but its implementation can be easier said than done. In this session, we’ll delve into key lessons we’ve learned from helping both public and private-sector clients implement Purview Records Management. We will share best practices for planning, executing, and governing a successful Purview implementation, while identifying common pitfalls to avoid. Lastly, we will highlight questions that organizations should ask themselves before proceeding with a Purview implementation, in addition to questions we have about the future of the solution and its potential implications for IM and IT professionals. Whether your organization is considering implementing Purview Records Management or are already well into the process, this talk will provide valuable insights and practical guidance to help participants succeed.

👥 Come join us, grab a pizza slice, and listen to these amazing presenters in this sensational venue!
