Diese Session hat schon Tradition bei der aMP Aachen, so betrachten wir die Möglichkeiten und deren Entwicklung von 2020 bis 2025 den SharePoint Online als sicheren Speicherplatz auszubauen. So können Nutzungsszenarien wie Daten der Geschäftsführung, Betriebsrat, Datenschutz und auch Austauschbereiche für die Anmeldung zu Patenten erstellt werden. Innovative KI-Anwendungsfälle: Microsoft Viva trifft auf Copilot &  KI

Die Arbeitswelt hat sich verändert, wir sitzen nicht mehr jeden Tag im Büro sondern arbeiten mobil oder aus dem Homeoffice. Die neue Freiheit bringt aber auch neue Herausforderungen. Bestimmt war jeder schon mal im Büro nur um festzustellen, dass die Kollegen, mit denen man Termine hat, alle im Homeoffice sind. Oder man im Office keine Arbeitsplätze nebeneinander bekommt, weil schon alles besetzt ist. Diverse Anbieter haben in den letzten Jahren Lösungen auf den Markt gebracht, die hier Abhilfe leisten sollen. Auch Microsoft hat auf der Ignite 2022 mit Microsoft Places eine Lösung für 2023 angekündigt, doch es hat bis Mai 2024 gedauert, bevor die erste Preview ans Tageslicht gekommen ist. Wir wollen uns heute einen Überblick über Microsoft Places schaffen und schauen, wie der aktuelle Stand ist.

Microsoft Places: Von Räumen zu flexiblen Orten

Die Nutzung der Cloud hat in den letzten Monaten und Jahren zugenommen. Viele Unternehmen evaluieren und nutzen derzeit Cloud-Anbieter, um ihr eigenes Rechenzentrum zu erweitern oder um bestehende Dienste zu neuen Anbietern zu migrieren. Server und virtuelle Maschinen sind ein wichtiger Bestandteil jeder IT-Umgebung. Transforming Cloud Storage: The Innovative Approach of SharePoint Embedded

This presentation highlights two critical stages in adopting Power Platform, focusing on the decision-making process for its suitability for customers' requirements and best practices for initiating its use. It aims to guide customers and consultants toward making informed choices about adopting Power Platform, considering the potential financial risks of choosing the wrong platform or a flawed implementation strategy. This also includes advising against adopting the Power Platform if it's not a suitable option.

We want to emphasize the importance of evaluating Power Platform's fit based on business processes, industry, regulatory compliance and whether more custom alternatives on Azure might be more appropriate. This first evaluation is crucial to avoid costly mistakes and ensures that if the platform is chosen, it meets the specific needs of a customer right now and in the future.

Having observed many faulty implementations over the years, we want to provide guidance on why “a real-time application with financial information” might not be a good fit for Power Platform. We will highlight how to avoid such scenarios in the first place, before they are sold as a “good solution” to the client and potentially lead to negative outcomes.

The session also offers practical advice on starting with Power Platform, including proper environment setup, subscription management, application lifecycle management, governance, and app development strategies to ensure that every business function has a suitable application. We will discuss when to integrate features into one app versus developing separate applications, aiming for a future-proof setup that is easy to maintain while utilizing the full potential of low-code/no-code SAAS platforms like the Power Platform.
